Piano Recital with Vojtěch Trubač

Biography

Pianist and organist Vojtěch Trubač (Czech Republic) is one of the most outstanding talents of his generation, distinguished by an artistic voice that combines natural musicality with a pronounced feel for the extraordinary.

He began his musical training at a local music school in Frenkát pod Radhoštěm, continuing later at the Alfréd Radok Music School in Valašské Meziříčí. He then completed the Janáček Conservatory and Grammar School in Ostrava, studying organ under Lukáš Hurtík and piano under Monika Tugendliebová.

Vojtěch is currently a doctoral candidate and teaching assistant at the Frost School of Music in Miami, where he studies under Prof. Kevin Kenner. In 2018 he completed his Master’s degree at the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague in the piano classes of Prof. Martin Kasík and Prof. Jan Bartoš. His artistic development was shaped by masterclasses with Dang Thai Son, Boris Giltburg, Olga Kern, Michele Campanella and Ivan Klánský.

His competition successes include top prizes at major international piano competitions, including a Second Prize (with no First Prize awarded) at the International Chopin Competition in Darmstadt (2022), a Second Prize at the International Beethoven Competition in Hradec (2022), and a First Prize at the International Chopin Competition in Mariánské Lázně (2019).

Vojtěch has performed as a soloist with leading Czech orchestras, including the Janáček Philharmonic Ostrava, the Moravian Philharmonic Olomouc, and the Pilsen Philharmonic, and has given concerts throughout Europe as well as in the United States.
