One of Lithuania's most celebrated musical personalities

About the event
In her native Lithuania, the multi-award-winning pianist Guoda Gedvilaitė is regarded as one of the country's most celebrated and innovative musical personalities. Lithuanian broadcasters regularly transmit her recitals, chamber music engagements and orchestral appearances on radio and television. She has competed successfully in many European countries and in the USA, and renowned festivals in South Tyrol, Austria and Switzerland engage her regularly.
Since studying in Vilnius and Frankfurt am Main, Guoda Gedvilaitė has divided her time between the Lithuanian capital and the city on the Main, where she teaches piano at the University of Music. She shares her interest in new forms of expression with numerous artists from other disciplines in her own “The Guoda Company”. Alongside her professional concert work, music-making at home is close to her heart: in Frankfurt she founded a music school for the whole family, where children and parents learn to make music together.
