Piano Recital with Avery Gagliano

About the event

Pianist Avery Gagliano has been praised by International Piano magazine as an “outstanding young artist”. Her interpretations are marked by great emotional depth and a “uniquely narrative approach” (Miami International Piano Festival). She first drew international attention as winner of the First Prize and Best Concerto Prize at the 2020 National Chopin Piano Competition.

Since then she has performed in celebrated halls including Carnegie Hall, the Warsaw Philharmonic, the Fondation Louis Vuitton, Salle Cortot, the Philharmonie Luxembourg, the Ehrbar Saal in Vienna, and La Grange au Lac in Évian.

In the 2025/26 season Avery performs with, among others, the Kansas City, Kalamazoo and Galveston Symphony Orchestras. She will give solo recitals at Wigmore Hall, the University of Warsaw, the Casals Forum at the Kronberg Academy, Washington Performing Arts, and California State University, Sacramento.

Her debut album Reflections (Steinway & Sons, 2021) features works by Chopin, Haydn, Schumann and Adès. Her Chopin interpretations in particular were described by the New York Classical Review as “revelatory”.

Avery Gagliano is a graduate of the Curtis Institute of Music, where she studied with Robert McDonald, Gary Graffman and Jonathan Biss. She currently lives in Germany, continuing her studies with András Schiff in the Performance Programme for Young Pianists at the Kronberg Academy – generously supported by the Henle Foundation.
