Aleksandra Mikulska’s playing is described as honest and personal. In her concerts she seeks to open up unfamiliar worlds and to move audiences with complete devotion – whether through the music of J. S. Bach, Haydn, Liszt, or her compatriot Fryderyk Chopin, to whom she feels a particular affinity. She is a regular guest at international festivals such as the MDR Musiksommer, the Liszt Festival Raiding, the Bodensee Festival and the Usedom Music Festival.

German-Polish collaboration is close to the heart of the Polish-born pianist. Between 2014 and 2024 she served as President of the Chopin Society in the Federal Republic of Germany in Darmstadt. She is dedicated to the rediscovery of lesser-known composers from her homeland, such as Julian Fontana, Miłosz Magin and Karol Szymanowski.

Raised in Warsaw, she studied from the age of 16 in Mannheim and Karlsruhe under Peter Eicher, then in Imola under Lazar Berman and Michel Dalberto, and in Hanover under Arie Vardi (Konzertexamen). In 2005 she received a special prize at the 15th International Chopin Piano Competition in Warsaw. Since 2021 she has been Professor of Piano at the Carl Maria von Weber University of Music in Dresden.
