International masterclasses for pianists – a series rich in tradition presented by the Chopin Society
The Chopin Society can look back on a long and successful tradition with its series of International Masterclasses for Pianists founded in 1972. They are led by internationally renowned pianists and teachers, most recently Tamas Ungar, Andrzej Jasinski, Lev Natochenny, Boris Bloch, Kevin Kenner, Katarzyna Popowa-Zydron, Sontraud Speidel and Renate Kretschmar-Fischer.
Open to young pianists without any restriction regarding their level of training, the courses address a variety of topics, such as passing on the Chopin tradition or working on a freely chosen programme. Participants travelling from many countries value the warm, highly constructive atmosphere of these courses and the exchange among like-minded musicians.
