About the event
24TH INTERNATIONAL MASTERCLASS FOR PIANISTS – open to the public.
21–28 September 2018 in Darmstadt, Literaturhaus/Kennedy-Haus, Kasinostr. 3.
Tutors: TAMÁS UNGÁR (Hungary/USA) from 22 to 25 September 2018; ALEKSANDRA MIKULSKA (Poland) and SABINE SIMON (Germany) from 26 to 28 September 2018.
Open to young pianists, the course covers a range of topics: conveying the Chopin tradition or a freely chosen programme in preparation for music exams, concerts and piano competitions. Each participant receives three to four lessons of one hour each.
Optional: Chopin's Études op. 10 and op. 25 – the course offers the opportunity to work specifically on their technical demands, practising strategies and interpretative approaches.
Applicants, students and graduates of universities, academies and conservatories as well as privately taught students are eligible. Course fee: €250. Deposit: €50 (non-refundable). Application deadline: 15 July 2018.
