About the event
Continuation of the festival weekend given by the professional musician members of the Chopin Society. Admission is free; donations are requested for the support of young talent.
A varied programme from the Baroque to the modern era with works for different forces – flute, cello, piano duo and piano trio.
MARIA PIA VETRO comes from Sicily. She trained as a pianist at the “V. Bellini” Conservatory in Catania, then with Prof. Daniel Rivera, and completed a Master of Music at the Cologne University of Music (class of Prof. Fabio Bidini). She has received numerous awards at piano competitions and appeared at festivals including the Paderewski Piano Academy Bydgoszcz, the Aurora Chamber Music Festival Vänersborg, the Talent Music Master Festival Brescia and the Trinity Festival London. She works as a music teacher and heads the advanced class of the Königstein music school.
ANISSA BANIAHMAD has been principal flautist at the Nationaltheater Mannheim since 2020. She completed her bachelor's degree with distinction at the HfMDK Frankfurt with Prof. Stephanie Winker and Prof. Paul Dahme, an Erasmus period at the CNSMDP Paris with Prof. Philippe Bernold and a master's degree in 2023 at the UdK Berlin with Prof. Christina Fassbender. She is a multiple national prize-winner at “Jugend musiziert” and won 2nd prize at the Concours Jeunes Solistes Luxembourg in 2013. She holds scholarships from the Mozart Society Dortmund (since 2015) and the German Academic Scholarship Foundation (since 2016).
SONTRAUD SPEIDEL & FRANZISKA LEE form a renowned piano duo which cultivates works by Mendelssohn and Scharwenka, among others, in their own arrangements for four hands.
