Anna Karácsonyi and Tomás Nessi

About the event
Nurturing talent is one of the aims of the Chopin Society. Anna Karácsonyi and Tomás Nessi demonstrated their exceptional gifts at past Darmstadt masterclasses.
Anna Karácsonyi, born in Herten in 2002 into a family of musicians with Hungarian roots, can already look back on remarkable successes at a young age. She is a prize winner of the national “Jugend musiziert” competition and of many others. Recitals have taken her to Hungary, Israel and the Netherlands, among other countries, and she has also performed with renowned German and Hungarian orchestras. In seven masterclasses – including in Darmstadt with Aleksandra Mikulska and Tamás Ungár – the 18-year-old refined her playing. She currently studies at the Kalaidos University of Music in Zurich.
Tomás Nessi, born in La Plata, Argentina, in 1991, came to Germany on scholarships from the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) and the Mozarteum Argentino Foundation and studied at the Cologne University of Music. Back in Argentina he completed his degree as a diploma instrumentalist in Buenos Aires. A further scholarship enabled a master's degree in solo piano in Freiburg. Tomás Nessi has attended several masterclasses, won first prizes in his home country and received the audience prize and a sponsorship award at the summer academy in Radolfzell on Lake Constance.
