Martín García García (born 1996 in Gijón) is a celebrated Spanish pianist who has captivated audiences on many of the most prestigious stages in Europe, the Americas and Asia. His career highlights include top placings at leading international competitions, notably First Prize at the 2021 Cleveland International Piano Competition and Third Prize at the 2021 International Chopin Piano Competition, where he also received the Warsaw Philharmonic's Special Prize for the best concerto performance. A graduate of the Reina Sofía School of Music, Martín studied for a decade under Professor Galina Eguiazarova and was honoured as the most outstanding student in her piano class – an honour bestowed on him personally by Her Majesty Queen Sofía. He later completed a master's degree at the Mannes School of Music in New York under the renowned pianist Jerome Rose, having begun his musical training at the age of five with Natalia Mazoun and Ilya Goldfarb. In recent seasons Martín has established himself as one of the leading pianists of his generation, performing with, among others, the Warsaw Philharmonic, the Hamburg Symphony, the Spanish National Orchestra, the Tokyo Philharmonic, the NHK Symphony Orchestra and the Seoul Philharmonic – under conductors such as Mikhail Pletnev, Vasily Petrenko and Andrey Boreyko. The 2026/27 season stands out in particular: Martín embarks on his tenth tour of Japan, where his concerts will attract a total audience of 25,000 people. Alongside major appearances in Europe and the USA, he will perform in Korea, Taiwan, Malaysia, the Philippines, Thailand and Australia, and looks forward eagerly to returning to Latin America. His discography continues to grow in 2026 with the release of Chopin and His Echo, following Chopin and His Master (2022), Even-Tide (2024) and Silent Music (2025). Guided by a deep sense of responsibility and service, Martín approaches every concert with purpose – believing in the power of music to give every listener something meaningful.
