    About the event

    The Italian-born pianist Maria Pia Vetro is among the rising artists of her generation. Her expressive performances and the original choice of her concert programmes have taken her to stages across Europe, where she has delighted audiences as a soloist and chamber musician in Italy, Germany, England, Spain, Belgium, Poland, Russia and Sweden.

    Vetro appears regularly at renowned festivals, including the Piano Festival of the Chopin Society Darmstadt, the Neckar Music Festival, the Rachmaninoff Festival in Russia and the Paderewski Piano Academy in Poland. Since 2022 she has been performing in the concert series “Weltklassik am Klavier” throughout Germany.

    She heads the piano department and the advanced class at the Königstein im Taunus music school and is, together with Konstantin Zvyagin, artistic director of the chamber music festival “Musikalische Wochenenden im Grünen” in Neunkirchen-Seelscheid.

    In February 2025 her debut CD “Italian Reminiscences”, with works by Clementi, Respighi and Liszt, was released on the Kaleidos Musikeditionen label.
