The brothers Sándor and Ádám Jávorkai (born 1976 and 1977) come from a Hungarian family that has produced musicians for eight generations, both in classical and in folk music. They are devoted to the works of Hungarian composers such as Béla Bartók and Zoltán Kodály, but Paganini, Sarasate, Liszt and Brahms also play an important role in their music-making.

With their impressive musical range, Sándor and Ádám Jávorkai are regarded as “one of the most exciting music duos” and “swinging devil's fiddlers”. As soloists they appear with renowned orchestras such as the Budapest Philharmonic, the Berlin Symphony Orchestra and the Dresden Philharmonic. As soloists and duo partners, concert tours have already taken the two young talents across Europe as well as to Russia, Japan and China.

The two Jávorkai brothers received their classical instrumental training at the Franz Liszt Academy of Music and the Béla Bartók Conservatory in Budapest and at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Vienna. They won first prizes and special prizes at international music competitions and were invited to radio and television recordings in Austria and Hungary.

The Dutch pianist Clara Biermasz studied at the Franz Liszt Academy in Budapest, where she met the Jávorkai brothers, with whom she has collaborated since 2008. She has won numerous prizes and performs at home and abroad. Clara Biermasz is the artistic director of the Chopin Stichting Nederland (Dutch Chopin Foundation).
