A ceremonial memorial concert for our long-serving vice-president

About the event
A ceremonial memorial concert for our long-standing board member and former vice-president Dr Helmut Kelleter, with musical contributions by Boris Bloch, Sabine Simon, Carmen Piazzini, Romain Garioud and Artur Pacewicz.
Helmut Kelleter was born in Alsdorf in 1937. He received his first piano lessons in 1946 at the age of nine. After studying medicine and philosophy in Bonn, Munich, Vienna, Hamburg and Heidelberg – as well as two semesters of music at the Vienna University of Music – he became chief physician at the Elisabethenstift in Darmstadt in 1970.
In 1973 Helmut took up piano lessons again; for many years his teacher was Maciej Lukaszczyk, founder of the Chopin Society, later Aleksandra Mikulska and finally Artur Pacewicz. Helmut joined the Chopin Society in 1973, served as vice-president for almost forty years and remained a member of the board until his death.
