About the event
Anton Drozd was born in Khmelnytskyi, Ukraine, in 1995. He received his first piano lessons at the age of nine from Svetlana Kucheruk at the municipal music school in Khmelnytskyi. From 2010 to 2013 he attended the M. Lysenko Music School in Kyiv in the class of Natalia Hrydneva.
From 2013 he studied at the Tchaikovsky National Music Academy in the class of Boris Fedorov, who describes his playing as “always very sincere, deep and emotional” and praises him as “an outstanding musician with great technical possibilities and an exceptionally artistic personality”.
After completing his bachelor's degree in Kyiv, he moved to Kaunas in Lithuania, where he completed his master's studies at the Vytautas Magnus University Music Academy under Justas Dvarionas.
Constantly seeking to refine his playing, Anton has attended master classes with Alain Planès (France), Grigory Gruzman and Sabine Simon (Germany), Tamás Ungár (Hungary/USA), Mutsumi Saiki (Japan) and Alexei Botvinov (Ukraine), among others.
